Brutus: Hello chief? Thornapple here
Brutus: I won't be in today, i'm feeling too sick to get out of bed
Brutus: Aren't cell phones great abner?
Abner: Don't know how we ever did without em thorny
This is not a funny panel. I don’t like it that Brutus lies to Rancid about being sick. That’s very mean of you Brutus you could get fired from your job. Also Brutus you’ll lose trust by lying to your boss even though he’s mean to you, and you lose money you could’ve earned.
This comic panel is very insensitive to people who are really sick in bed. I don’t know how this comic panel got approved by Andrew Feature Syndicate, it has not aged very well and it’s problematic.
Also this panel was written 24 years before the epidemic crisis in 2020 which took 700,000 people in America.
