I work as a custodian at an elementary school. One of my second grade rooms has an elf on the shelf – her name is Sparkle. For the last three years, the teacher has asked me to move it for her so she doesn’t forget. I wait to clean her room until all the kids in the after-school program go home as they will stop by her room and check while she’s setting up for the next day. They love it and get so excited to look for it in the morning.
