How about a snake?
My second/third grade teacher (yes, I had the same person for both grades) had an in-class pet tarantula; gave me a bit of the heebee-jeebees when perched on my outstretched arm.
Would Mom here even settle for a pet pill bug?

How about a horseshoe crab or giant isopod?
i would only allow those…if they were in “CARTOON FORM”…for they are cute & have that ♥ next to them as well…
