Cats are not subtle. They want your attention, they sit on whatever you are working on or wearing black. Getting a black cat so that the fur does ot show on your clothes is a big mistake. Cat hair is visible no matter the fur color or your clothes color. As the towel quip says – Cat hair is a fashion accessory.

Ear scritches I find are a particular type of activity for some cats, careful or chomp!

The cat jumped up on the bed and I stroked her until she was purring like a chainsaw. I tried to go back to sleep several times and a paw with one claw lightly poked my hand and informed me that she still needed some more.

One of my cats jumped on his bed by the window. He tapped on the closed Venetian blinds before settling down. I don’t know how or why, but I immediately knew he wanted the blinds opened. After I pulled them up and saw the sun shining on him, I realized how intelligent he was and how well-trained was I.
