This is a sad day for me. I got home from work a little after 10:30 on Saturday night and I found my cat, Chip, dead on the living room floor. Chip was 12 years old. He would have been 13 in June or July. I got him as a kitten after someone threw him away and another cat lady in town found him. She couldn’t keep him so she asked if I could take him. I was happy to take him because I needed a kitten friend for my Heathcliff who was also a throwaway kitten I had found and rescued back around of 2005. I named him Chip because he was like “a chip off the old block” as they say (or a chip off the old Heathcliff). Those 2 bonded instantly. Chip had been sickly for a long time. His blood work from the vet was all normal, but he went downhill quickly and he lost bowel control. I didn’t think he had a lot of time left, but I didn’t expect him to go quite this suddenly. Here are some pictures of him from when he looked good.
