Ted Rall lives in a world where everything should go his way. Politics is messy.
The Progressive wing of the Democratic party is not in the majority. Their legislative goals are not even primary focus of the party and won’t be until they attain it.
Yes, it has been 3 weeks or so and he has nothing better to do as Trump left him such a wonderful country where there are no problems other than proposing legislation. Reality is hard to understand on both the Far Right and Far Left.
I find it interesting that I have been called a socialist, a communist, and looney left because I voted for President Biden. Now someone who supports the president is portrayed here as a rightist.
Pubs made gains in House, and States, Senate tied. Go hard left and the sheeple will elect Dump Jr.
if some of the money were squeezed out of politics, and the “far” left were given an equal chance . . .I think there would be more elected
Rall appears to be living in an alternate reality here.
Now that I consider the matter, it is easier to judge people by what you predict they are going to do, rather than waiting to see what they actually do. We need to merge the movie Minority Report with today’s politics.
If Ted Rall approved of Biden, I’d be worried.
“What if a strong bill is never drafted?” That’s what Executive Orders are for. What if one party chooses partisan politics to obstruct and filibuster every bipartisan bill that comes out of committee? That’s what Executive Orders are for. Just go back to 2009-2016; expect the same the next 2-4 years pending how 2022 midterms go.
Haha, the humor is fantastic in this one, Ted!
It’s hard getting stuff done when you only work three days a week.
Last week Theodore chastised me for suggesting Bernie fantasy was far-fetched. Yet implicitly or explicitly he pulled out his favorite saw— again.
Strong bills are drafted all the time. They are however beaten into submission by weak politicians toeing the party line and forgetting why they are there in the first place. To make the lives of their fellow citizens better, not to further the interests of the ‘party’.
The Republicans have spent the last few weeks complaining that Joe Biden is doing too much too quickly.
Rall has left the building.
Theodore, Mardi Gras is off down here. Get back to work and throw out a toon for us to lampoon.
