I have a difficult time believing Trump would care about a hostage’s political affiliation. He’d be much more concerned with his/her skin color and religion. Oh, and he’d expect to be publicly thanked after the hostage was freed. Last time, he pitched a mini hissy fit when the hostages didn’t give thanks to the all mighty Trump for his magnanimous decision to let someone else do all the work in freeing them.
