Just because the president down’t like the press, it does not mean they will go away. I fear some will want them to be regulated for this president in a way they would never want for other presidents. Just because he ran a new type of campaign, it does not mean he can continue to thumb his nose at the rules of politics.

I’ve actually been amazed that, whenever the “millions of illegals voting” comment is mentioned by the media, they’ve actually indicated there is no basis for the statement. Not quite cojones, but close.

It tells me that you are completely off balance. All the sources you mentioned, plus the ones you quoted in your comments, are totally extreme. They are either conspiracy or alt right sites full of false and invented information designed to mislead the gullible. Why don’t you balance your intake at least some by reading some papers that have researched editorials and staff that knows what the are talking about. and maybe you should turn your rabbit ears towards something like NPR for a change. It may open your mind….

The article’s statement about the news media dutifully reporting government propaganda like non-existent WMDs and the Gulf of Tonkin ‘attack’ is a point well taken.

But their statement about Pearl Harbor being a ‘contrived event’ was 100% a lie — since I have a close relative who was there at the time.

It’s also good to remember that the media are virtually all owned by the ‘people’ — being that for Republicans, corporations are ’people.

So, what do you think of Kurt Eichenwald’s reporting on Trump? Sure he’s biased, but his reporting is based on hard facts. When I see CNN, HuffPo, the NYT, Fox & Reason all agreeing on something as factual, I tend to feel that it’s credible. I’ve pointed out countless times when your sources either present opinion as fact or have published things that are flat out lies. You seem to think of yourself as a freethinker, but you’re simply looking at what confirms you’re preconceived notions.

Where as you are totally unbiased. In a pig’s eye.

Hopefully that will mean honest journalism, unless of course the MSM decides that the best course is to be even more fawning towards the presidency in hopes of receiving that all-important access.

I am in awe of your powers of discernment, Tom. You really are so much more perceptive than everyone else. Thanks for the special insights. Keep up the good investigatory work. I actually thought Zero Hedge would have some good info, but when I looked… not so much. The economic opinions are interesting, though.

There is a truly ominous tidbit at the top of ZH; “Trump Threatens Flag-Burning Americans With Loss Of Citizenship Or Jail”. I don’t see anything in the Constitution that provides for removal of citizenship from any naturally born citizen, yet the threat (and, I assume, the reality) is taken as a given. How long before citizenship is taken away for the horrible crime of being a Democrat?

And yet virtually every so-called ‘conservative’, certainly of the ones who post here were adamant that Saddam had nucular weapons.

And when they were not found,

Saddam has cleverly gotten them to Syria.

And he had chemical weapons (the ones from the Reagan sales).

And anyway, he was a really, really bad man. Really bad.

And the region and the world was better off without him.

And anyone who denied any of these things was UNPATRIOTIC and possibly a terrorist and belonged in jail.

And now Trump is the Messiah.

And anyone who doesn’t think so is unpatriotic and probably a terrorist.
