In a perfect world, President Clinton or President Sanders will nominate Barack Obama to fill Scalia’s seat in 2017.

As usual, Obama will be primarily concerned with getting the repugs to like him and so he’ll nominate someone like Karl Rove or Newt Gingrich or maybe even Rush Limbaugh, thus proving to the repugs that he’s really a good guy.

@NickelAlloy Why would Obama need to make Repubs to like him? He has no reason to need that. And no hope of attaining it anyway.

Ted, I love this comic. I see no need to respect the dead in this case, especially one who had no respect for the living who were not affluent. I’ll feel the same way when Kissinger dies.

The right wingers demand another right winger be placed on the court. The right wingers are all holes, and we need to stop falling into them.

“Americans will be sickened by the last eight years of Republican obstructionism to dump you from both houses of congress.”.The problem with that theory is people vote their wallets, which is the only valid theory for the midterm blood bath. All of the President’s allies in the media were proclaiming how wonderful the economy is, but whey YOUR economy isn’t as wonderful as your being told it is, all the proclamations on God’s green earth won’t do a damn bit of good..…and the working class have yet to benefit from the Obama recovery and may vote accordingly.

I tire of the voices from some who are adamant that the appointment not take place in a year divisible by 4.

Some think he will appoint McCain. IF the latter were willing.

The Senate should supply advice and perhaps consent. It need not pass any specific candidate..The Senate has usually passed one of its members with little opposition. It is a club..Cruz is unpopular in part because he refuses to belong to the club.
