Obama wants to leave 9.800 U.S. troops in Afghanistan after 2014. (Barack Obama: We'll be gone after 2014. Just like we said! Except for a teensy, weensy little "contingency force" because you never know! And then, in 2016, they'll be gone too! Except for "security assistance forces." Hey, got any beer?

While it was a pretty horrible movie, “Red Dawn” should make Americans realize how WE are perceived in Iraq, Afghanistan, Colombia, Panama, Grenada, Syria, and nations we have invaded, or are constantly threatening to. So, where is the war on terror really based, in whose thought process, or lack thereof?

Why does everybody want Afghanistan? It’s the opium poppy growing capitol of the world. There’s just as much money, if not more, in that than there is in oil. The bottom line is always money – and with money comes power.

It would seem that in every Country the United states has intervened militarily since 1964 is a mess, Laos, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Libya, Egypt, and half a dozen other places . Maybe we need smarter people running our Military, or maybe a little less interference in other peoples business. George Washington warned us about involvement in foreign affairs.

^So was I, in ’91 because GHW screwed up and told Saddam to take the territory he was claiming, as Bush just called the buildup in Iraq an “Arab to Arab thing”, and he let the invasion of Kuwait proceed, could have stopped it.
After a decade of bombing, the lies to claim every true report was false, made "W"s folks either double dumb, or double greedy. “Let’s sell ’em some showers that will really light ’em up” was just pretty standard Halliburton, KBR quality control, but they still made a bundle.
