Mr. Obama has proved himself a world class deceiver and betrayer. One almost feels sorry for what is left of his pitifully naive base. Obama’s hypocrisy casts into sharp relief both the weakness of his character and the absolute power corporate and military interests enjoy these dark, dark days.
How can he be from Chicago if he’s from Kenya, or Indonesia, or Hawaii, or Mars, Venus, or the outer reaches of the Universe, you know, anywhere but America?
btw, a lot of dead people voted for Nixon when he ran for Governor of California, and he still lost. Sadly in many ways, we DID get him to “kick around” again.
I was born in 1932 and all my life I heard of election fraud and Democrats voting graveyards, especially in Chicago.
the Chicago fraud vote gave JFK the win over Nixon….1960.
Rahm may not be so popular in 2010 because of Obama and crook governor Blago.
Maybe it’s time to change the two-party system? Oops. Done that. Elected a somebody from somewhere. Beware 2nd term people…that’s when it’ll get hairy.
‘Nuff said.
It’s a joke to call it “democracy” when more than half the people who vote don’t even know which party has a majority in Congress, or who the vice president is. A nation of idiots and imbeciles can only be expected to elect morons.

I heard the latest GOP plan is to bombard impeachment bills over and over to gum up the legal works of the country and make the obstructionism worse if that is possible
It’s always funny reading these comments. It’s always Bush, Bush, Bush. And yes, he was a awful president. If he hadn’t been - the current one could have NEVER been elected. And McCain? Jeeze, they sure didn’t learn anything from the Bob Dole fiasco. Palin didn’t have enough charisma to carry that old dog to the White House. I don’t think a resurrected Elvis could have….
The 2010 election though, is coming just in time to save the current rulers and everyone else a lot of pain.
And the American public will be spared the spectacle of torches & pitchforks….
The disaffection and discouragement shown in these forums is even worst than all the touted promises this administration sold to us.
I am no Obama apologist, heck, I’m reading Noam Chomksy’s Hope and Prospects, but I do understand that, short of a painful, protracted revolution, too soon squashed by the mighty military-industrial complex, the best hope we have is to mobilize to action and vote for the democrats as a vehicle to a more progressive government.
Go ahead and give up. With your pusillanimity I can only see you are even worst than those you criticize so contemptuously.
Just don’t forget that, when you see the next war cooked up by tenuous evidence, or the already diluted health care reform go to the drain, and see this country of yours taken over by corporations that outsource your job to exploit those with no other choice but sufferance, and see the next financial crisis again stop the economy on its tracks, know that it was as much your fault because you had no cojones to move this country forward.

That Chicago thing again. Maybe Obama needs to build a fake ranch in Texas so that people forget he’s really from Massachusetts, I mean, Chicago.

Mission accomplished, then. He is now truly the heir of the last regime.

Republicans are going to crash and burn. They peaked too soon, if anything. People are coming to their senses now, and we still have four weeks.
