Ted Rall for December 20, 1999
Transcript:
Man 1: My distinguished opponent is not only every bit as qualified as I am, he's smarter and has more integrity than anyone else I've ever met. In fact, I myself plan to vote for him! Man 2: That's absurd! I only got into politics to follow your legacy- the best I could ever hope for would be to accomplish half as much as you. You're caring, you're brilliant and you're the best man for the job! Man 1: Oh, come on. The only reason to vote for me is pity- I'm too old to do anything else! Man 2: Not only am I withdrawing my candidacy, I am endorsing you! Woman: This isn't a democracy- it's a circle jerk Man 3: I miss negative campaigning.
