AB’s sad ending prompted me to google: tragic flaw literary definition. “Tragic flaw is a literary device that can be defined as a trait in a character leading to his downfall, and the character is often the hero of the literary piece. Maybe George Blanda was in that group. The Houston Oilers traded him away when he hit 40 because he we “over the hill.” So he went to Oakland and scored another 100 points or so. Mostly as a kicker but he stepped in as quarterback a few times and racked up a few touchdowns as well.
