Abe might have been honest, but he certainly knew how to play politics. He had to in order to get things done; just like presidents have done ever since.

Hillary was right on with this comment. If politicians actually talked about a detailed plan on the issues, there whole audience would shortly be watching the football game. They all have a short form, slogan driven, flashy public version and hopefully a much more detailed version they plan to implement. All you have to do is watch the hyped up Trump fans cheering his every vitriolic word at his rallies.

As the movie “Lincoln” showed, Abraham Lincoln did engage in the kind of backroom dealing that has become easy to attack in today’s political climate. In this case, Lincoln was doing it to secure passage of the 13th Amendment, which outlawed slavery. And Clinton’s speech clearly made reference to all of that before she made the comment about needing “both a public and a private position.” Everything Clinton said at the debate about her speech was true.That is the wrong candidate if you want someone to shoot you.

Now calling loser Trump, party of one.

KEN – In the middle and a major televised debate, one candidate (like some banana republic dictator) tells the other candidate that when he is elected he is going to have her thrown in prison!

The point of the Lincoln comment was about DIPLOMACY, which does sometimes require keeping some of the facts and activities from a “public” that hasn’t a clue what to do with the actual information if they got it. A little like say, Obama following the reduction in force agreement that the BUSH ADMINISTRATION wrote!!

Hillary tried to use Honest Abe to justify her exposure in the leaked emails that show she told Wall Street in her overpaid speeches that she had one kind of “private opinion” and a different kind of “public opinion”……(and those different opinions do not agree.)-IMO the Hillary campaign and the MSM have given ample proof that voters in America cannot put trust in anything they say. The leaked emails also expose the collusion in the MSM pro-Hillary helps and protection from the truth, and the current administration’s every agency’s protection from a genuine “investigation” (FBI, for one) and real accountability on her malpractice during her 4 years in the DOS.
