People react to defeat of Keystone pipeline bill:
Barack Obama: Good! At least I won't have to veto it.
Woman: $#@%!! There goes my re-election!
Man: Who cares? Gas is $2.83!
more power to buffett and steyer. a few trains blowing up are not nearly as spectacular as a little leak or two from an underground pipe. but that is not the real problem: the tree huggers want to outlaw fossil fuels right now, they can’t wait until the infrastructure catches up with their mania.
but there’s the little fact now being denied by “r’s” that that Canadian junk will be proscessed in the U.S. with serious side-effects, and the product will be EXPORTED! The actual pipeline is the least of the problems, even though it will produce roughly 1,400 temporary jobs, and a whole 35 permanent jobs! (There’s no need to add jobs to processing, as those refineries are already operating.)

The rejection was good for Republican legislators. It enables them to collect even more bribes and payoffs campaign contributions from big oil.

That will depend on the price at the pump.
