I suppose the point that Stuart is trying to make made sense to him.

I thought of that as his point, but it just seemed a little inane.

I expect that his second term will be much like President Clinton’s. He will spend much of it trying to defend himself from impeachment. There are a lot of Republicans crying out for it already. The charge is that he is trying to rule by Executive Order bypassing Congress.

Can you name one of the executive orders that is impeachable? No one seems to be able to spot one. They just hate the president. Nothing comes CLOSE to George HW Bush’s executive order banning the import of assault weapons. He’s a constitutional scholar, and a very ethical man; it’s going to be really tough to find anything to impeach him on.

Climate change is not a scam. It is accepted, true science, observable fact in the real world. Anyone who can’t see that is a tool of the right-wing media with no thinking brain.

Unless of course it is a Republican President and Democratic Congress I am sure.

You’re probably too young and obviously too poorly informed to know this, but wealthy plutocrats of the 1930s and their deluded followers (think of today’s “Tea Party”) made the same dire predictions and levelled the same inane criticisms against FDR. They were completely mistaken then too, although they’ve spent nearly a century trying to alter the historical record to show otherwise. But I’m curious. If Obama were going to ruin, actually ruin the U.S. during the next four years, shouldn’t we have seen unmistakable evidence of ruination after his first four? Of course, if you want to see near ruination, go back four years and take a squint at the state of the country after eight years of Bush and the GOP.
