I really dislike when little kids behave like this. My grandchildren like to swim…as long as I hold them in the pool. They are terrified of the water….yet they will go in if someone holds them. We tried to get them to learn to swim but they simply refuse. So very frustrating. Only this summer, my older grandson finally learned to swim at ripe age of 6. He suddenly loves to dive and grab submerged swimming toys and diving into the water. Finally. His sister is not there yet. By her brother’s example. I imagine she will finally learn to swim in 4 more years. Oh joy.

Typical ‘kid’—when you want him to do something—he doesn’t want to but……..take it away from him and he has to do it ! ! ! !!

I’m happy to see we made it through the month without any of that “you gotta love August” rubbish.

Anyone remember? “Mother may I go out to swim? Yes my darling daughter. Hang your clothes on the hickory limb and don’t go near the water.”

You can keep summer and just give me Autumn instead. A very long one.
