Stone Soup by Jan Eliot for January 05, 2014
Transcript:
Stone Soup by Jan Eliot Val: Well, girls...it's another new year. Holly: Buckle up. Mom's waxing philosophical. Val: Doesn't it make you want to restart your life? Val: The whole year's in FRONT of us! We can make it anything we WANT it to be. Holly: ... Holly: All right. I want this to be the year I win the lottery and find a boyfriend who'll do all my homework for me. Val: Well, THAT'S never gonna happen. Holly: I told you it was a bunch of hooey.
Perhaps if you stopped setting yourself up for failure, Holly… If you work a little harder on your own homework, and do 10% less whining, you might see an improved year after all.
