Wouldn’t Holly working for Wally be a violation of the child labor laws? Don’t you have to be 16 to get a permit to work even part -time?

When I was younger than 16 I did some part-time work in my Dad’s office; just emptying trash on the weekends, stuffing envelopes, and stuff like that. But then, my Dad owned the business; I think the rules are different in cases like that.

Is Wally the Weinsetin in Weinstein Insurance? If so, he might be able to put Holly to work doing odd jobs and, being her uncle (even by marriage), it could legally be done (and kept off the books).

@werew0lfe - I’m not sure, but I think the rules are different for family businesses. I suspect the rules vary from state to state.

He could pay her under the table. But I don’t think he’s going to go for this.
