Maybe it should be “Why?” rather than “How?”

Well the kid seems perpetually happy; something to be said for that.

Sleeping with their glasses on will get them all busted up….Very expensive!

I think that the third panel demonstrated parenthood perfectly :)I had one. It was More than enough. Then I got smart.

Max is a real handful. It is too bad there was no real age progression in this strip. Twenty years of a 2 year old is a lot for anyone.

My parents stopped at one. Either because they knew they couldn’t top the one they had. Or, more likely, they didn’t want to make that mistake again.

Max got what he wanted, that been my boy when he was younger, did not know he needed his ears done, and we had hard time for him sleeping in his own bed.

All the kids are unique individuals, the next one ought to be different!

The answer to “how” cannot be said on comic strips I believe….

It’s called being a parent and setting boundaries. Being firm and setting clear rules appropriate for the age is not mean- it’s loving.

My first one was a ‘Max’. Then I had 2 more…totally different. I didn’t ask why, we just went about raising them with some rules, consistency and lots of love. They act, you react..life goes on.

I had five. The house was always like an 8.6 on the Richter scale…
