Kelley doesn’t care that new covid cases are on the rise as more and deadlier variants are spread across the country.

Like his hero, he wants them infected and doesn’t care how many people get sick, pass it on and die.

People are wearing masks again because there is a deadly virus on the loose, which had been brought under control by Biden’s massive SUCCESSFUL vaccination roll-out (after Trump dropped the ball and “Operation Warp Speed” turned out just to be warped) in its original alpha variant. But after ANTI-VAX, anti-science wacko extremists allowed it to mutate and evolve into a far more transmissible and deadly delta variant, masks are once again necessary.

So of course, THE ONES WHO CAUSED THIS PROBLEM are the ones who are going to WHINE MOST LOUDLY ABOUT IT.

Boo hoo. Wear your masks. They don’t seem to have any problem breathing under their KKK white hoods, but a mask?

    And get your damn vaccine.

I don’t support voter suppression in any form (we Democrats know we can actually win fair, free and honest elections), and killing off your own voters is a particularly gruesome way to go about it (not really understanding the strategy here).

But what bothers me a lot more than TrumpubliQans engaged in a murder/suicide pact to kill off their own voters is the number of people who can’t get vaccinated because they are too young (“pro-life” TrumpubliQans killing off CHILDREN — oh yeah, they don’t count after they’re actually born) or too immunocompromised who they also want to offer up as human sacrifices on their virus-infested altar of hatred and anti-science ignorance.

FIRST: What red-collar guy understands isn’t relevant to mask guy’s behavior.

SECOND: (an example) Before Covid was a twinkle in some bat’s eye, lots (millions) of people wore masks when they were out in public. Because they wanted to protect the other people from colds.

THIRD: I can hear you quite clearly if you speak clearly from behind your mask. And I’m a lip reader because my hearing is starting to go. The “Mmph curph” speech bubble is a flat lie.

FOURTH: "Because people who have the Delta variant might infect me, and I prefer to avoid a trip through even a “minor” Covid infection. Because “minor” in medical terms can be pretty damn awful in layman terms.

FIFTH: Then there’s long haul stuff.

Although I was fully vaccinated at first opportunity months ago, I have resumed wearing a mask in public places. Delta has not yet become virulent in my area, but only 38% of locals are vaxxed. I think we need to once again normalize mask wearing, and I believe in the old adage: if you’re not part of the solution…

Kelley… I am going to try not to unload on you, but I swear to God I am getting tired of this right wing BS on all levels. I have an adult member of my family who is not medically able to get the vaccine. I have a child in my family who is not old enough to get the vaccine. I got the vaccine. I wear a mask because I CAN STILL TRANSMIT THIS GOD DAMNED VIRUS TO EITHER OF THEM!

Stop putting my family at risk, and countless others, because you are too inconsiderate. You have a platform that could actually reach out to people and save their lives. We will reach herd immunity one way or another: Either vaccinate and save lives, or don’t and let a whole lot of republicans (and those they can infect) die.

    Make the choice!

The chance of dying from covid for people under 60 is slim at best. People over 60 have a higher rate of death. The government mandates for masks is all about power.

And that’s the problem. You don’t understand.

Maybe he’s a germaphobe. Maybe he’s just cautious. Maybe he read what the CDC has been saying about how the Delta virus can still be spread by people who have been vaccinated.

Probably he’s not a MAGHAT and gives a crap about whether we get over the Covid-19 epidemic.

As part of the initial group of guinea pigs, in 2 weeks I go back for a blood test to see how robust the Pfizer vaccine is one year after vaccination. I also wear a mask when I’m inside stores and close to others – mainly because only a jerk would intentionally make others uncomfortable by not wearing one.

    From the NYT:

In yet another unexpected and unwelcome twist in the pandemic, fully immunized people with so-called breakthrough infections of the Delta variant may spread the virus to others just as easily as unvaccinated people, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in a report published on Friday.

Because you can still catch Covid-19 despite being vaccinated. It’s not a binary thing. Vaccination greatly reduces the chance of getting sick from Covid, and nearly eliminates the possibility of dying from it. And because right-wing nut cases won’t so live up to their societal responsibilities, we are all endangered. Yes, I feel safer by being vaccinated and I wish some other people would as well, but until that happens, I’m going to recognize the danger and take appropriate precautions.

Again, it’s not binary. Vaccines reduce the threat tremendously, but doesn’t eliminate it.

So. Let’s see if I understand this. If I get vaccinated, I still have to wear a mask? If I’m vaccinated I can still get the virus, my chance of dying goes down a little, but there is also a chance of long term and dangerous side effects to the vaccine. If I don’t get the vaccine my chance of dying goes up a little (but is still dramatically, super low).

By taking an experimental, non-FDA approved vaccine, nobody will guarantee I won’t suffer from muscle pain, headache, fatigue, chills, diarrhea, acute myocardial infracation, cerebrovascular incidents, lymphadedopahty, blood clots, etc.

Furthermore, long term testing does not exist so it could cause some severe long term health effect.

But my chance of dying from Covid is less than 1% now?

Gosh. It is almost like masks and vaccinations are not about people’s health…..

You wear a mask to protect others. You know, as in “not selfish.” Even vaccinated people can carry and transmit Covid-19, even if they are not sick from it. (That’s the power of the vaccine.)
