I wouldn’t worry about that promise. These are politicians and a promise is only an apparition
People with good intentions make promises.
People with good character keep them. -Anon.
Because we all need bigger, better, faster…words.
They want civility so they elected a bunch of Dem women to clean the House.
The old English paradigm that the way to the truth is: via trial, is working against us.
At this point, they are just fighting for fightings’ sake.
No campaign promise can be anything more than a promise to try. You vote for the person who wants to try to do what you want done, as opposed to the other person whose intentions are less similar to what you would want to try to do if you were elected.Everyone wants a perfect world. Everyone’s definition of a “perfect world” differs. Candidates spent vast amounts of money telling you what they want to do. LISTEN!!
Nobody who voted for or supports 45 can speak of wanting civility.
questions of mr kelley’s consistency aside, he is correct in that politics requires compromise and we constantly punish politicians for doing just that. And while compromise isn’t the same as doing a complete 180 and the acceptable level of compromise is subjective, it does likely mean not delivering entirely on promises. We just need to be adult enough to understand that.
Trump Disciple Kelley demands civility.
And fair elections.
I hear Kelly is leaving the White House, coincidentally.
Speaking to the cartoon: we keep sending them because we’ve been raised to think that a winner requires a loser. Triumphalism, we’ve been taught belongs to the God chosen victor of a battle and is therefore the truthfully best person to lead a community. When cheaters win, everyone loses even eventually the cheating triumphant winner.
trump has never ever been accused of having ‘good intentions’ – he is, and always has been, in it for himself exclusively.
