It’s been said that what Trump and his Repub minions are doing is a direct attack on democracy, itself. For, if I lived in a state whose Repub legislature was able to set aside the will of the people at the polls, then what would be the point of voting anyway? We could vote because it was the right thing to do as a citizen. But, civics is dead amonst most of our citizenry. And if there are enough of these states willing to go the fascist direction, then Trump could get the presidency for life, with a few constitutional changes. Then in lies one of the greatest reason why the midterm elections are most important. Only by reversing the trend of the off year elections, and voting in MORE Dems to seats in the House and Senate can we even hope to avert the Dump dictatorship.
