Interestingly, Trump tweeted that he will be voting by “absentee ballot.” He has also tweeted (repeatedly) that <i?“mail in-ballots” lead to fraud. He displays (again) the he has no understanding that “absentee” and “mail-in” ballots are the same thing.

“Two of these things are just like each other, Two of these things are exactly the same…”

Silly Americans, you thought democracy was made of sterner stuff, didn’t you? All it took was one Orange madman and a gang of Neo-Nazis with “R” after their name to watch it start to swirl down the bowl.

Wouldn’t he be happier if we just spent a few thousand dollars a day to let him PRETEND to be king? And it would be better for the nation too…

The Navajo (The Dine’) invoke the Spider Woman (Na’ashjé’íí Asdzáá) to send her children (The Monster Slayers) to rid us of these skin walkers and other Chindi (ghosts) who are ruining all our lives.

Because that is a f*cking better idea than us Bilagáanaa (White Folk) allowing an obviously crazy old “President” and his criminals lead us to hell.

If Trump ordered the DHS, the National Guard and whatever other military force were available to ’protect’Washington D.C. from ‘radical terrorists’ after he was voted out, would they do it? Probably.

He didn’t really say that. Or if he did, he was only joking. Or if he wasn’t only joking, he was being sarcastic. Or if he wasn’t being sarcastic, his remark was taken out of context. Or if it wasn’t taken out of context, he misspoke “election” for “selection” of his, um, running mate. Or if he didn’t misspeak, he takes no responsibility of what comes out of his mouth any more. Yeah, that’s it! He takes no responsibility because “nobody likes [him].”

He will likely be toast, but the biggest issue is just how much scorched earth will the Republicans allow him to get away with? What if the Democrats in the House initiate a fast impeachment based on malfeasance and ineptitude? Surely there are some Republicans in the Senate with a modicum of actual patriotism and Moscow Mitch cannot block an impeachment trial like he’s ignored the hundreds of bills sitting on his desk.

Or maybe the corruption has reached so deep that too many Republicans are in peril of joining their crime boss in the hoosegow, and they can only hope their crime boss can somehow pull it off and destroy justice and Democracy, first.

Usual leftist distortion. The President stated it as a question for discussion given the pandemic and serious questions about massive voting by mail.

Historically, autocrats controlled the press using the same methods Trump has been executing.

    1. BERATE the media and turn the public against it. Oh yeah, don’t trust the “Main Stream Media”, because they all lie. Don’t trust your lyin’ eyes, believe me

    2. LIMIT media access. Pressers controlled by spin artists, blocking the media from traveling with him, blocking the Press Corps, and prevent the media from knowing who he’s meeting and what has been discussed.

    3. THREATEN the media. He tried to pass laws making it easier to sue the media, his supporters have destroyed opinions by using billionaire-funded lawsuits, and he has singled out the media, and individual reporters, for attack by both his supporters and government agencies he has corrupted.

    4. BYPASS the media and go directly to the public. He tweets incessantly, issues videos, and holds large rallies – all of which enable him to lie directly to the public with impunity or challenge. He’s usurped and corrupted the government mass-media empire of Voice Of America.

Something to keep in mind: The word “media” comes from “intermediary”, for that body between the powerful and the public. The media hold the powerful accountable by correcting their misstatements, asking them hard questions, and reporting on what they do. Apparently Trump wants to eliminate such inconveniences.

Summing up, all these techniques have been used by demagogues to erode the freedom and independence of the press, and Trump is doing exactly the same thing. And his deliberate persecution of “blue” states that did not vote for him is, ultimately, pure murder in the face of a pandemic.

The outcome of this election will depend on two Titans.. Russia and China, either playing on the same side.. or, with trump annoying one of them, they just may pull their support and possibly.. even go rogue.

I’ve recently had this “ringing” in my ears since John Lewis died. Thought it was Tinnitus so i went to see the Doctor. Found out it was the “Let Freedom Ring” that John Lewis spoke about in his final goodbye. Hope the ringing never stops.

Mail-in ballots and absentee voting are NOT the same. Absentee ballots are requested by each individual voter and require the person to do something to get one. Mail-in ballots are sent to every voter on the voting rolls regardless of their desire to have one, if they are still at that address or even alive. There are millions of voters who have moved to a new address in their state, moved to another state and are registered there or are dead.

Trump needs a uniform and should have one soon. A black and white one with large black stripes like in the old days. He can even wear it after Labor Day every year he’s in prison. I don’t care if it’s made in China.

Voting fraud is extremely rare in the US, and voting by mail is no exception. In the past 20 years, over 250,000,000 votes have been cast by mail, and according to data from the Heritage Foundation, there have been only 1,285 proven cases of voter fraud resulting in 1,100 convictions.Studies done by such organizations as Stanford University have found that voting by mail does not favor voter share or turnout of either major political party. Expanding access to voting by mail is generally considered great for all voters and their ability to exercise their right to vote.
