Pitiful. Got caught lying about associations to the tea party, so now you’re going to lie and try to tie the NRA to this nutjob?

…along this line; next time someone is killed by a drunk driver, sue the car manufacturer.

More guns are used per year to defend innocent people than are used to kill them.

Well, Benson, this one kind of backfired on you. We can see through the lies. Holmes, Loughner, the Holmes copycat, the Sikh shooter… All of these are products of botched law enforcement. Holmes’ psychiatrist warned that he was a possible danger, nothing was done. The Sikh shooter, he was a known member of a Neo-Nazi hate group and had been tracked down. Loughner was also a known troubled individual. Law enforcment could have prevented these horrible crimes. Oh yeah, and there’s the Fort Hood shooter, he was known to have contacted terrorist orginizations. I’m beginning to think that these failures of law enforcement weren’t really failures at all, but willful and purposeful neglegance to support banning guns.

When I first saw this shooters name in print, I would have pronounced it “Loner”, an appropriate designation of his psychiatric “problem”. It is common to almost all these “mass killers” , and might, just MIGHT BE NOTED by someone in their communities, and raise red flags? Same for Columbine, Texas tower, and back through our history of nuts with guns.

Even a neo-Nazi songster IS behaving as a loner, with hatred for society, and willingness for violence against it. TAke for example those who proclaim, "My guns are to defend ME from the treachery and tyranny of “government”. Government in a republic, IS the “people”, the “masses”, the rational.

Are you anti-weapon types under the delusion that, if guns were banned, wars would end? That criminals would repent of their wicked ways? That you could defend yourself and others with a firm and commanding tone of voice. The NRA is embarrassing because they are such extreme righty-tighties but they are right that power comes from the barrel of a gun. And as for the idea that government is somehow benevolent, look up Ruby Ridge or Waco. Heck look back to the Kent State murders and the subsequent non-trials. Consider the willingness of a certain police officer to pepper-spray protesters who were guilty of sitting down.

Weaver WAS violating the law. Koresch was violating the law, and killed his own people, the “government” didn’t do it, as numerous witness statements reported. It was a “religious” event. Jim Jones folks killed a Congressman, then committed suicide, leaving us with the endless “drink the Kool Aid” idiocy, derived from a deranged, and tragic, “religious” event. The folks who offed themselves to meet the comet were ALSO following “religious beliefs”. Joshua was a homicidal nut. Hitler was a homicidal nut (raised Roman Catholic, and backed too long by a Pope, even though courageous Catholic priests defied the Pope, and helped many Jews escape with their lives, congratulations to those courageous people who risked their lives for others, NOT of their faith!). The Japanese ran into their major “problem” determined and convinced the Emperor was a “God” on Earth.

Which brings me back to the point: What IS faith? What IS “religion”? What IS “insanity”? Faith that a mechanical device capable of vast amounts of death is tragic, whether manufactured as an individual weapon with a single “bullet”, OR a larger weapon, using a radioactive bullet, than can eliminate literally millions of lives, with the activation of a single “trigger”.

So you’re saying that everyone is to be guaranteed access to any gun, military grade or otherwise, no matter what their mental or emotional state may be because to do anything else could lead to infringing upon your second amendment rights to own a big toy. That is essentially what a military grade weapon is to a civilian, who has no practical need for it. Why not focus on the term “well-regulated”? Could that not mean the government has the right or responsibility to determine which guns are acceptable for private civilian ownership and which ones are to be reserved for the military? Even the organized militia would not need access to them except in times of conflict. Keeping them in a local armory would guarantee access when needed.

Asinine strip, I expected better. It’s as stupid as saying that flies cause garbage. If I want left wing lunacy, I’ll watch MSNBC. I’m canceling my subscription, now.

It wasn’t the NRA that killed all those people!Who would you draw if he killed them with a knife or a baseball bat? Blame a kitchen or Wrigley Field?

As I said in an earlier post, I’m waiting for the headline that says “Ten killed in baseball bat masacre” or “Child accidentally killed by loaded baseball bat”.
