I see a lot of videos where parents do this with their teenage kids.

Yesterday the Alabama-Cincinatti game was on CBS. The screen was split into five pieces. I just couldn’t keep up with it. Later, ESPN 2 had the same kind of deal. If this is the future, I don’t like it.

Players do it ALL the time for any kind of play, not just touchdowns. Why can’t the refs?

No dif than when you do a stupid dane on the goal line….

Because they so RARELY make good calls!

Especially cruel since the Lions don’t have good plays to celebrate.

I think the audience would like it.. wouldn’t happen all that often and be a nice break.

Given that I have never seen the refs do that, this is pretty realistic in terms of their play calling abilities.

At first glance i thought the ref was displaying the wrong fingers!

When a coach calls for a replay, and the refs called it right, they should go over and trash talk to the coach.

That would be great!

Looks like they’re in Motown. Dancing in the streets..and on the field.

I heard starting this year, short stops and second basemen will chest bump for double plays and pitchers will spike the ball for a strike out, oh and just wait till you see the homerun celebration!

IIRC, some pro football coach, and I cannot remember who, but Vince Lombardi comes to mind, when seeing a player celebrate a touchdown, called him out for it saying the player should act like it was something he was supposed to do, not a once in a lifetime thing.

To be fair, it is a Detroit Lion complaining, it’s not like he’s gonna have many occasions to even fist-pump…
