Capitalism, as practiced in America, has been kept alive on borrowed time (and money) for much too long and is much too fragile a thing yo be sustained for much longer. How many times are tax dollars going to be used to sustain businesses (and failed business models). How many times will cities/states lower/eliminate business taxes to attract business… hoping to increase employment opportunities? How much debt are we going to continue to hand down to children and grandchildren? How much longer will we tolerate the inequity of supply-side economics? How much longer will we tolerate political parties that cater to the corporation and only make promises to the wage earners?

It’s very interesting that a new assistance package for businesses was passed a few weeks ago, but the 40,000,000 unemployed workers will have to wait awhile for the GOP controlled Senate to catch up. And the president wonders why “nobody likes me.”

It’s only a stimulus bill like a meal is a stimulus to a starving person. Except in this case it’s a meal, nay, a feast, lavished on the obese person sneering at the starving one, who is granted crumbs.

That’s about the only reason he’s likely to be in favor of it. Totally out of character otherwise.

You know, for all the rabid Republicans insisting that Obama was born in Kenya, how come not ONE of them have provided a shred of proof?

He’s a squatter that’s been living rent free. Now I suppose he thinks he can sue for being thrown out or even claim ownership after four years. Nothing would surprise anyone anymore.
