The more we view members of the opposing party with hate and suspicion, the easier it is to make faulty decisions when governing … for example, the current slacker congress.
We need to look at the real motto of the United States, that is relevant to turning us back on reality, and progress: “E Pluribus Unum”, will bind us, and it is the 1950’s adulteration of the Constitution with “In God we trust”, and “under God”, that turned us into factions like those punishing the Islamic world and the theocracy they want, just like Evangelicals here desire. Relgion is very poor politics, as proven throughout the history of oppression from ALL “bible based” theology.
“NO religious test shall ever be required” in Article VI is the greatest piece of wisdom in the Constitution. That freedom of speech (within reason) and freedom of (or FROM) relligion is likewise wisdom in keeping government OUT of religion, and more importantly, vice-versa.
Get the big money out of politics. Problem solved.http://www.stampstampede.org
I remember someone giving a speech to the issue several years ago, a nice guy.
Night-Gaunt49 The purpose of XIV was to put the states under the same constitutional restrictions as congress in regards to civil rights.
…to advocate the violent overthrow of the US Government,is not a religion.
