The US has been complicit in torture for a long time, certainly back to the War in Vietnam, and probably earlier. For an eye-opener, check out Naomi Klein’s “The Shock Doctrine”, which tells about what went on in Chile under Pinochet.

But Dick, we DID decorate them. To the tune of about $81,000,000.

masterskrain said, about 3 hours ago@ConservGov; I have a facility where you can be shackled up in a standing position with your hands over your head, and you can be left there for up to 185 hours, which is over a WEEK, by the way. At the end of THAT, let me know if that’s TORTURE or not…no sleeping for that entire time, by the way…or food or water, either."——————————————————————————————————-

That’s why I’m not a terrorist who kills innocent people.

Speaking as a psychologist who is revolted by this, the American Psychological Association has decidedly condemned torture and specifically the so-called “enhanced interrogation techniques” and makes it clear that any members of the APA doing such will be turned over to the Ethics Committee for action.http://www.apa.org/about/policy/torture.aspx

Well, if the people in charge of torture should be decorated, let’s have a big ceremony and decorate them.

If we have nothing to be ashamed of, why is it a big deal that the report was released?

Oh, and why were the prison guards at Abu Ghraib punished?

Good “Christians” today, at least those on the right, think wha’t good enough for those good Christian Puritans and their dunking chairs, is good enough for them; well at least to use on others.

“Were it not for those “people”, Lady Liberty would herself be in chains.”How so? Torture does NOT result in reliable information.
