I’m certainly glad that with all the help Republicans have given to passing a viable health care system, with their utmost cooperation and support, nobody in the “civilian world” in America has died because they couldn’t get, or afford, insurance, or treatment for preventable cause, gone too far.
^^^^ Typical deflection technique used by all O lovers after each of his horrendous blunders.Btw…. He’s never been a big fan of the military.
same wreath Bush put down.
So what has the United States House Committee on Armed Services been doing? And the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs?Surely they can’t be blaming the President for them not doing THEIR jobs? Can they?
Scandal of the month, every body pile on. Herd mentality at it’s best. I like the comment that it is OK with conservatives for a citizen to not have health care and die. The VA is a much better way to show your outrage and help get yourself reelected.
Denis: I started paying into Social Security at age 12, in 1956. I paid into Medicare for decades (yes, feds pay into Medicare), and had “private” insurance that I PAID for, and used many times so as NOT to use funds from VA and take away from the guys who can’t afford insurance.(Like my niece’s husband disabled by a stroke and unable to work, lost his insurance as well with his job.)
But as well, YOU started sucking at the VA teat in the ’70’s, while I put off going for 30 years? Oh, right, you had a severe wound from that potato peeler while on KP, stateside, and PTSD as well!
Yes, I now get retirement, Social Security, and Medicare, which I PAID FOR WITH “PREMIUMS”, called well-placed, cheap, taxes. My VA “benefits” come with multiple physical disabilities that became much more disabling with age, that silly combat doesn’t always result i wounds that warrant the Purple Heart, at the time.
Yes, finally revealed is that the drip has been the biggest sponge.
Thank you to all the Veterans who have sacrificed and served our country! I wish our politicians could put aside the typical gamesmanship and diversion and fix or at least improve this situation.
A really cheap shot at a President who has a House of Rep that cuts the budget on almost everything so that they can reward their rich donors. The VA funding problem goes back to the Reagan era- shame on Wilkinson
David C: And remember, that “war hero” Reagan spent WW-II in his Bel Aire mansion, commuting to Fort Roach to make the occasional training film. I can’t even find that he made a War Bond tour. After all, Carole Lombard was killed coming back from one.
To all you Obamacare lovers and naysayers, know this: Medicare and VA benefits were CUT to help pay for Obamacare.
So, go stuff a dirty sock in it, you losers.
I am a vet. It is disgusting to see those who have paid NOTHING for their freedom – or even tried to get a job – complain about not getting health care.
I served. I worked for fifty years paying into Social Security. I paid into Medicare from the very first time it was implemented. And the idiots in Washington that never served will not let Medicare take over to help pay for my personal expenses for VA medical. They added some stupid rider to a law that took that away too.
And you whining little pansies that have done NOTHING for your freedom or even beginning to pay your own way, complain, complain, complain.
Republicans NEVER cut back on veteran care. I know. I watch. It is DemoTAXocrats that are always wanting to cut veteran benefits.
Get your facts straight.
The Defense “construction” bill cited, also has some interesting subtext stating that before they can spend monies, they have to come back to House committees, run by Republicans, to essentially get case by case, item by item, individual approvals for spending. That’s micro-management by the House Republicans, it’s stupid, and it goes beyond their Constitutionally defined role.
