I recall how earlier Liberty Mutual ads were about people who suffered because they did not get all kinds of optional coverage. My unsupported suspicion is that some regulatory agency came down on Liberty Mutual for deceptive advertising, so now their mantra is “Only pay for what you need”.

When they say send $$$ to show you care—I say how big a bill should be sent to show I don’t give a $#!^.

They need to cutback on the Joe Namath and Jimmy Walker and William Shatner Medicare advantage plan commercials. Can’t escape them. And when the 7 of December cut off date comes and goes … they are still running those darned commercials.

I think we have a “typo” in that last panel. Pretty sure that first “these” isn’t supposed to be there.

Actually, I’m pretty sure all auto insurance companies provide optional riders over and above the minimum required coverage, so you only have to pay for what you need – or more correctly, what you want – with any of them.

La Mútua insurance claim they are the cheapest(and best) car insurance company in Spain. When I enquired about cover they said they do not insure my vehicle (VW Caddy van). Good way of not lying on TV.

I really really hate their ads. Their advertising department must be moles working for another insurance agency.

“Only pay for what you need” is one of the biggest lies, outside of political advertising. What would happen if I called and said “I need coverage for a tree falling on my car ‘cause a tree just fell on my car and that’s what I need.”

Insurance means you pay for what you may never need. I’d love it if it worked the other way.

Somebody needs a time shifting device. I haven’t watched a commercial since the DVR was mass marketed. I even time shift ‘live’ sports events to zip thru timeouts, halftimes, mound visits, etc. It is heaven!

The surfeit of mindless commercials isn’t just confined to the U.S. but it seems that they are numbingly more frequent in the States. In civilized countries, the commercials are served up in blocks – with a warning that they’re coming – without interrupting the program!

Basically they’re using these ads as phishing to get names, phone numbers, email addresses, and maybe even medicare numbers. That information can than be sold and re-sold to all kinds of bad actors.

I suggested to my wife that there should be a commercial channel. That way, if people want to watch and listen to commercials, they can switch to that channel.

I wholeheartedly agree that this particular commercial needs to cease, once and for all! It is because of the composition and publicity of this advertisement that I would NEVER have anything to do with this particular company. If I were to get in any serious accident or any other earth-shaking situation, I would (LITERALLY) go WITHOUT any kind of insurance before I would lower myself to bother with this particular company. Why God allows this particular company to even exist is something I will never be able to figure out!
