Shoe can’t remember that far back. Personally I think this strip does a remarkably good job of creating attractive, even hot, bird/women. As I occasionally note, this is a “guy” strip, and excluding Roz, the female characters are all walk-ons, and nearly always hot young things. These are women who under no rational circumstances would be dating Shoe, Per’fesser, or any of the other males, given that they are all old, odd-balls, and non-wealthy. One of the more mature females once told Roz, “I’ve got half a mind to ask Cosmo out.” To which Roz replied, “You’d need a lot less mind than that.”
