Mom’s attitude is very naive if she really thinks that will protect her child from bullies, thieves, scammers, etc.

As long as Louis, doesn’t START the fight, they all must learn to defend themselves. Be it a hit, or words, or cyber….

There are many kids who committed suicide from the relentless badgering of bullies, who inside, are the real cowards!

Schools CLAIM they dont tolerate bullying, but in fact, they do NOTHING to stop it. They’re more worried about the bad publicity and parents won’t vote for their overblown levies.

I know this to be true because my 2 grandkids went through it. Thank god the parents insisted so there were changes in their classes, a small solution, but it curbed the problem til they graduated.

BOO HISS to all the school boards who ignore the cry for help. The deaths are on you!

If Louis is raised the way Shirley wants to, he will be harassed, bullied and picked on, and that will destroy his self esteem. Sometime in his child years EVERY boy will have to prove he is NOT a sissy wimp, and fight to prove he can “take it”. It is a rite of passage for males. Some girls too. Dad is not trying to teach him to fight to hurt someone deliberately, but to defend himself if someone DOES attack him.

Turning the other cheek, usually results in that one getting punched also.

Nothing like being sucker punched, knocked to the ground and kicked to learn to get along with people.
