Google didn’t help me confirm this, but apparently the Pope recently said something conciliatory toward atheists. I am so disappointed in this guy! I think that if he’s not telling me I’m going to burn in hell for all eternity, then he’s not doing his job!

The first sign something was wrong was when he said “Who am I to judge?” to someone. What else is he being paid to do anyway?!

“Stop messing with my mind. My faith tells me that it’s impossible for anyone who believes in God to be reasonable.”

Atheists aren’t angry nearly as much as media portrays. In fact, we’re a pretty delightful group. As for the Pope and other organized religion leaders, it might be impressive if they ever did anything to show the supernatural exists. Until then, all I hear from them is pretty much what we all know is good and common sense, anyway. Even the bible had nothing to add to what was already known or practiced at the time. I just don’t live as if anything supernatural exists. I live by internal morality, as we all do, anyway. It’s not a thing, it’s living without a thing. And it’s nice. It helps me love my neighbor and my life all the more, knowing we’re all we’ve got. I highly recommend looking into it more. You don’t have to live without a theism yourself, but maybe learning more would help more folks understand it’s a happy way to live. You don’t hear about that because we’re not out there knocking on doors about it. Have a good Thursday.
