Might be Attention “Deficit” “Disorder” – in quotes because I’m inclined to believe both the latter words are misleading.
This is just part of it, but it’s not so much about a lack of attention as not having the same sort of control on what your attention focusses on – sometimes, you hyperfocus, like more focused than the average person; other times, getting your focus to cooperate is an exercise in futility.
Personally, I’ve currently taken to calling it “attention management difficulties.” Haven’t found a term I like better yet.
