Reminds me a little of my family, who huddle and whisper about me because I’m “alone.”

Which is why when we renovated/remodeled our home we added an office, a “cave” and half-bath for the both of us. Or at least converted what was an extra bedroom to start out with.

I’m exactly the same. My family can’t understand why I don’t want to go outside or hang around people all the time. They think I’m hiding but honestly it just never occurs to me to go.

Say, “Sure come over to my place and hang out, but I’m going to read and you are not allowed to talk to me. Maybe you should bring a book too”
