Anti-Semitism, racism, homophobia, misogyny, and a host of “hate the other”isms is the back bone of the republican right. If you don’t hate somebody you can’t play in their sandbox.
Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome! Willkommen racists, terrorists, ignoramuses, bienvenue! You have a home here, a place to hate, bring your guns, we don’t discriminate—against them (snicker). Willkommen!
If you eliminated Antisemitism and White Supremacy, today’s Republican Party wouldn’t have much of a platform left at all! They would have to fall back on relying on Tax Cuts for the Rich, Gun Worship, and Hate for LGBT folks to try to attract more low-intelligence goobers to vote for them.
Republicans mocked for cowering before ‘retiree in Florida’ threatening the Constitution
MSNBC’s John Heilemann offered some mocking advice to Republicans who are afraid to condemn Donald Trump’s call to terminate the U.S. Constitution. The ex-president continued his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss by directly threatening constitutional democracy, and Heilemann and “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski role-played as GOP lawmakers to show how easily they could denounce his statements.
You know who most modern Republicans would despise? Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, Barry Goldwater, George H. W. Bush, and John McCain. And they’re none too sure about George W. Bush or Mitt Romney.
You want some comparisons? Our last truly humane Republican president, Dwight D. Eisenhower, governed more like one of today’s Democrats. He believed that government should provide a floor of support to the American people. He signed legislation that expanded Social Security, increased the minimum wage, created the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, and supported government construction of low-income housing. And he didn’t tout a throwaway “Infrastructure Week” every year; he was in it for the long haul. In partnership with Canada, his administration built the St. Lawrence Seaway. His most ambitious domestic project, the Interstate Highway program, established in 1956, created a 41,000-mile road system.

reagan got elected by appealing to racism. It got the whites to vote for him so that he could screw us over. By offering racism he was able to disguise the fact that his real agenda would destroy unions, send American jobs overseas, and make the rich very much richer by greatly reducing their taxes. It had nothing to offer that would be good for the country.

You would think there couldn’t be any more room in the Republican Party for additional evil, but. . .

Republicans have turned themselves into white Christian Nationalists and they want a dictatorship over the majority.

That’s Biden and the Democrats laughing because that’s exactly what they all are.

Actually, RTT is right. It’s a perfect description of the MAGAts, all of whom suffer from the obsession he calls TUD.
