He can peddle that dangerous Easter crap because his red state supporters believe in him. But if you look at the CDC’s map of the US showing the range of cases for each state here….

    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

You can see that their time in the barrel with New York is maybe a couple of weeks off - some time around Easter.

THEN…Did you see “The man who would be King”? Do you remember what happened to Daniel Dravot when the natives of Kafiristan figured out that he was not divine?

There is this gorge in Georgia -Tallulah Gorge. I saw it once. Reminds me of that film now that I think of it..

“Corporations are people my friends,” so they should be limited to a $1,200 pay out.

Corporations should get nothing if that is what they paid in taxes.

I believe that I heard Tiny waxing elegantly about the old community hospital in his childhood neighborhood of Queens and marveling about the refrigerated semi truck that was pulled up to the loading (or unloading) dock. I wonder what why that truck might be stationed there, don’t you?

It’s terrifying to think that people could be ordered back to work and sickness might increase as a result. Wasn’t there some point where the Entity squatting in the Oval Office was talking about State’s Rights?

His next plan is to tell the governors how to handle their covid-19 response efforts by mapping out all the counties and parishes in the entire country through a risk assessment status. How much and what is this risk assessment going to cover? Is it going to be a risk assessment to overloaded health-care facilities? Is it risk to certain population demographics such as surplus unproductive population such as the elderly, those with disabilities? Is it going to be based on the amount of medical hardware and support staff available? Or will it be broken down by a political triage assessment? My bet is that county by county assessment is going to be figured on each counties contributions to 1) his campaign fund…2) economic profitability level…3) the number of multi billionaires and CEOs in each district….4) how many of his perceived enemies a contained within a county..

He already is limiting his press conferences attendance to those reporting the most favorable coverage and brown-nosing ego-boosting publications. He doesn’t like hard questioning or journalists who want true facts not the fantastical magical alternative twilight zone inhabited by the orange faced *resident.

As fantasies go, I’d rather see the White House re-enact Edgar Allan Poe’s The Masque of the Red Death: “We’re all powerful; so we’re all protected; so we’re all safe here, mingling with each other behind closed doors.”

Its day has come! “Guy shopping”: Know what you want, go to a store that has it, find it on the shelf where you expect it, take it, pay for it, leave. Elapsed time: 5 minutes.

Given occupancy limits in many stores these days, this is a good practice for everyone. Get in, get out, make room for others.

If you don’t have it already, I recommend the The Guardian app for phone or tablet. No charge, but they would like you to contribute, if you can.

Also at https://www.theguardian.com/us always well written and balanced news.
