Look at China going though the same mistakes we did and there are cleaner ways of doing things.

Ah, the good old days before Nixon and NEPA and the Clean Air and Water Acts he signed, a deep breath or drink of water could kill. Trump wants that back, and for the whole planet to suffer. What “leadership”!

If clean air cuts into corporate profits and if you are a “real” American, you can only say “Clean air has gotta go!”

    From Tom Lehrer:

    If you visit American city,

You will find it very pretty.

Just two things of which you must beware:

Don’t drink the water and don’t breathe the air!

    Pollution, pollution!

They got smog and sewage and mud.

    Turn on your tap

And get hot and cold running crud!

Read a Rolling Stone article about fracking in Pennsylvania. Grass roots group formed to fight giving permits to allow fracking companies to inject wastewater which includes radioactive materials into the ground. They thought they won, but EPA under Obama still gave the company permits. Now we have Trump and Pruitt which will just make the situation worse.

California has signed a cooperation agreement with China on clean energy technology, emissions trading and air pollution reduction in an effort to bridge the gap left by President Donald Trump’s decision to pull the US from the Paris climate accord last week.

Under the pact, signed at an environmental tech summit in Beijing on Tuesday, California and China will work to develop and commercialize expertise on carbon capture and storage, clean energy and information technology to rein in pollution. The leadership at the national level has failed, but we may yet be able to save ourselves.

At least cities and states are ignoring T-rump. Here’s a favorite quote from my sig file:“People don’t want to breathe Democratic air or Republican air. They just want to breathe clean air.” -Arnold Schwarzenegger
