Just a note, while homelessnes IS a continuing problem, a lot of returnees with suicidal, and PTSD problems are outwardly more mainstream, outwardly!! Which is why it’s so important for friends and family to watch for signs, and become familiar with them if they aren’t.

Now that the Republicans have a small majority in Congress again, they can fix the problems with the VA system. That is on their agenda, right? Right?

One of the most APT cartoons I have seen, in a long time. All who have served, have come home with something-good thoughts, bad thoughts, NO GI bill (Cold War vets), a different physique, missing limbs, diseases, etc..

Taking care of veterans should not be a partisan issue. Democrats and Republicans should not have a hard time agreeing to take care of people who risked their lives in the service of the country. I say this and I’m a pacifist. I don’t think there should be any wars, but those who have fought should not be discarded.

Send him to the VA? Or not?Don’ t ask for help from Salon.com, though. According to them, soldiers are “worshipped” and don’t really defend us.

Aw, if them vets would just give bribes campaign contributions like military contractors, they’d get lots of attention from Congress.

Maybe veterans benefits would even get to be part of the Defense budget.

As it is now, Congress has trouble getting members to fill Veterans Committees and attending meetings. Congressional Members have fundraising to do, ya know?

ONE person can get elected to congress, serve only TWO years, and he/she enjoys a great benefit/retirement plan for LIFE.Sorry, says congress; We cannot fund any more money for veteran benefits!
