A man looks at his 2014 midterm election ballot. His choices are "Obama stinks" and "Obama doesn't stink." Man: I miss voting for actual candidates!
There goes Obama Boo Boo.
I’m guessing most Americans are going to pull the Stinks lever…….———————————————-
Barack Obama’s rating for strong leadership has dropped to a new low in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, hammered by criticism of his work on international crises and a stalled domestic agenda alike. With the midterm elections looming, Americans by a 10-point margin, 52-42 percent, see his presidency more as a failure than a success.
Just 38 percent now approve of Obama’s handling of international affairs, down 8 percentage points since July to a career low; 56 percent disapprove, a majority for the first time.
In general assessments, moreover, Americans by a 17-point margin say Obama has done more to divide than to unite the country, a rating worse than George W. Bush’s early in his poorly rated second term – and one that’s deteriorated among Obama’s supporters as well as among his critics. Just 43 percent call Obama a strong leader, down 11 points in the past year to the fewest of his presidency. And his overall job approval rating, at 42 percent, is a point from its all-time low this spring.
I didn’t know Obama was up for reelection. Clearly the conservatives are hoping all of their Obama bashing will wash off on Dem candidates. What ever happened to talking about real issues and their position on them?
Please check out:
Obama says that he has to run the country as best he can on his own because the Republicans refuse to do their job. This simply makes it clear that he doesn’t understand what the Republican’s job is. The Republicans in congress are doing their job very well. If they can’t accomplish anything that Obama won’t veto, then they can stall so that the Democrats can’t accomplish anything either. Their intention is to keep everything just as it is, unless they can manage to return to the “good old days” of the 19th century, before there was a middle class and when only the landed gentry were voters. And, they have a great strategy for accomplishing this. 1. Disenfranchise everyone you possibly can, unless they are dependable Republican voters.2. Produce ads and media emphasis which emphasizes those politicians who are corrupt and incompetent. Paint all Democrats with the same slime. Lacking sufficient actual slime, simply make some up. This undermines the people’s trust in their government and makes them feel like helpless pawns, so they tune out the whole process and accept the status quo. 3. Support the “job creators”, who are the recipients of a huge portion of the GNP, although that GNP was produced by working people, who are receiving less benefit from it every day. This gives them the money to accomplish the other two goals, and leaves everyone except the “job creators” with increasingly less money to mount a counter campaign. So, this is the way we are going lose the middle class and become a country inhabited only by the very rich 1%, and a 99% who are too busy working two jobs to survive to notice.
I voted early:must have been given the wrong ballot ; Obama was not on it!
Republicans/Fox “news” viewers ONLY issue is hatred of Obama and has been since he was elected in 2008.
Obama’s at over 40% approval at a point where “W” was in the low to mid 20’s on approval. We’re getting out of wars, and almost all economic indicators are in the postiive. Deficit is down, but interest on the Reagah/41/43 debt will keep the debt rising, even if Obama was to stop ALL new spending!
Looking at the herd of pinheaded pachyderms out there running, I don’t understand the rationale of the donkeys in resisting reality. Oh, wait, the media hits at the morons out there maintaining that while some say tomato, others say mulatto, and THAT is the real avoidance factor.
“Most of us know that Obama isn’t running, but the republicans keep insisting that he is.”.Yet, after 6 years of Obama being in office as President, I’ve seen, “BUT BUSH….” at least a dozen times just this week alone from Dem Lib comments.
^^ But, Bush…….I personally like to blame Grover Cleveland…….lol
