Factually, yes, most of it is Bush’s fault. Unfunded wars, tax cuts, and lax regulation of the banking industry. And the fact that the Republicans would rather destroy the economy than reverse ANY of those mistakes means that it could take quite a while to turn around. Where’s that Republican jobs bill again? No, not the ones destroying the EPA, ones that would actually create jobs?
Rodney, just silly. the lax bank regulations go back much farther than Bush, and when the republicans tried to reign in Fannie and Freddie the Democratics led by Mr. Frank stopped them dead. Wars are always unfunded at the tim they occur, it is the nature of the beast. Look at WWI, WWII, they were unfunded, remembe the whole “buy war bonds” drive; what did you think that was for? Tax cuts??? How about out of control spending—I will blame bush for not vetoing democratics’ ridiculous budgets.
Obviously, cartoonist is one of the 1% who are currently controlling “the economy.” Where do “these people” come from? Notice that President Obama is still standing!
Sorry, righties, but that cracker Gramm had the most to do with the whole thing. As noted even if Clinton HAD WANTED to veto the bill containing the rider, he couldn’t have. But, finding an “anti-corporate” Democrat (don’t say “liberal”, please) OR Republican in the last 30 years is harder than making a living as a dentist on a chicken ranch.
THE REAL CULPRIT HERE…….CAPITALISTIC GREED! History tells us some Americans improved their economic position during the GREAT DEPRESSION. Can this be another similar situation?

I don’t think he can dance around enough to make it a good debate with either one.

The economy is Obama’s only real threat, that’s why the Republicons are trying their best to keep it in the toilet.
