Don’t spend money, just let everyone become homeless and die. I guess it beats surviving long enough to die from using the death-trap, outdated infrastructure.

The GQP is just doing what it’s been paid to do. Your opinion that they were elected to do something else is just BS. Their first (and second) loyalty is to themselves (and the obscenely rich).

Isn’t it amazing that Republicans don’t want the government spending the people’s money … on the people? They want it all to go to their corporate elites. Everything they do serves that purpose.

The blockage caused a panic among American interests. It was moved, quickly. The GOP isn’t bothering any business people, the GOP blockage will remain in place.

Without the GQP muddling the minds of the middle-class, the 0.01% might be seen as greedy, self-serving, counter-productive, money-hoarders rather than proactive patriotic job-creating entrepreneurs that deserve tax breaks, special rights/privileges, and exemptions from laws that the middle-class must conform to.

And Capt. Mitch McTraitor is at the helm…just as he has been for the last umpteen years…

Some rich guys forget history, and what happens when you have a lot of people, hungry and angry.

Time to “blow” up that impediment to progress for all Americans, not just a privileged few.

Repubs are basically reactionary. They wait until the last moment and then take action. But, the action taken is usually inadequate for the need and only delays total destruction. Dems, however, tend to plan ahead, invest in the future with infrastructure investments and social programs for the people. Repubs call it buying votes, but they bought support from their wealthy donors and party members with their last multi trillion dollar tax cut.

40 years ago they were talking about the new conservativism. To me it sounded like the old feudalism. There’s one big difference, though. In feudalism it was the lords and not the peasants who paid taxes to the crown.

Thanks to the magic of “shadow banning,” no one but me can see this comment.

Maybe that explains the “echo chamber” here.

Well, at least Biden has a plan to balance his spending with taxes.

Precisely. No better metaphor for GOP ‘maneuvering’ than this.

I love the metaphor!

Right idea, but the GOP ship should be a worn out old barge with no cargo and leaking oil.

Mitch McConnell said there would be no republican votes for infrastructure.

Now the dems can freely move along without them.

They should have given the Nile Ex-Lax.

Support the Democrats . . . . spend money like water and leave our kids and grandkids to pay the bills !
