Don’t spend money, just let everyone become homeless and die. I guess it beats surviving long enough to die from using the death-trap, outdated infrastructure.

The GQP is just doing what it’s been paid to do. Your opinion that they were elected to do something else is just BS. Their first (and second) loyalty is to themselves (and the obscenely rich).

Isn’t it amazing that Republicans don’t want the government spending the people’s money … on the people? They want it all to go to their corporate elites. Everything they do serves that purpose.

The blockage caused a panic among American interests. It was moved, quickly. The GOP isn’t bothering any business people, the GOP blockage will remain in place.

Without the GQP muddling the minds of the middle-class, the 0.01% might be seen as greedy, self-serving, counter-productive, money-hoarders rather than proactive patriotic job-creating entrepreneurs that deserve tax breaks, special rights/privileges, and exemptions from laws that the middle-class must conform to.

Time to “blow” up that impediment to progress for all Americans, not just a privileged few.

Repubs are basically reactionary. They wait until the last moment and then take action. But, the action taken is usually inadequate for the need and only delays total destruction. Dems, however, tend to plan ahead, invest in the future with infrastructure investments and social programs for the people. Repubs call it buying votes, but they bought support from their wealthy donors and party members with their last multi trillion dollar tax cut.

40 years ago they were talking about the new conservativism. To me it sounded like the old feudalism. There’s one big difference, though. In feudalism it was the lords and not the peasants who paid taxes to the crown.

Thanks to the magic of “shadow banning,” no one but me can see this comment.

Maybe that explains the “echo chamber” here.

(Take-off from the opening theme song to “Gilligan’s Island,” by George Wyle and Sherwood Schwartz)

    ”Run Aground On Land”

Just lean up close and read this rhyme,

A rhyme ‘bout a bummer trip

    That started in 20-17

    Aboard The Donald’s ship.

    .

McConnell was a sullen bosun then,

    The Captain crude and snide,

They took the country out that day

    On a four-year-long ride.

    .

    The mood aboard was turbulent,

The Ship of State was rocked,

With the pirate crew of Republicans,

In Dire Straits it was blocked.

    .

The Ship was stuck, the Captain was

    Relieved of his duty.

The passengers, near half of them,

    Were convinced twas mutiny.

    .

    The newly installed Skipper now

Is left with quite a mess,

    Hostility among the former crew

    Impeded much planned progress.

    .

The crew he’s hired now must strive

To once more resume the course,

    Expending treasure from the stores,

    And build medical resource.

    .

Let’s hope we won’t be castaways,

    When rescue plans are done.

The hope is the ship will be on its way

By the end of year 20-21.

Right idea, but the GOP ship should be a worn out old barge with no cargo and leaking oil.

Mitch McConnell said there would be no republican votes for infrastructure.

Now the dems can freely move along without them.
