Dr Fauci knows better than anyone what problems the abject incompetence of Trump’s administration has caused, it must be very painful to witness. Especially from someone in a position to make a difference, if he were dealing with a sane and/or well-intentioned boss.

Ontario, where I live, today reported 111 new cases and 1 death. Ontario has a population of just under 14,500,000. I don’t say this to brag. Ontario did not do all that well early on, and there were too many deaths, particularly in retirement homes, but then we got our act together and we have done much better. We have a Conservative government, but they have followed the recommendations of the scientists, and they deserve the credit for that. The federal and provincial governments are now preparing for a second wave. I say all this with great sadness for my friends in the US. It is possible to contain this pandemic, with the right kind of government and the right actions by the citizens. The federal government and too many state governments have failed to deal with the situation. The tools are there, but they don’t work if they aren’t used.

He’s got an army of enablers to boot.
