We must NEVER loose sight of the fact that ignoring a duly issued “subpoena” is a criminal act and it matters not whether said subpoena was issued by a judge, Grand Jury or Congress, it is a criminal act to ignore one – it is ALSO a criminal act to tell someone else to evade or ignore one – that’s called “Obstructing Justice”.
To the best of my knowledge, no one has the “right” in America to pick and choose which “laws” they’re going to observe and which they’re going to ignore.
The argument that Trump advances that Congressional Subpoenas may be safely “ignored” since they are “partisan” is an utterly ridiculous and specious argument, along with the argument that such subpoenas are “fishing expeditions”!
Whether or not they are or aren’t is totally immaterial – they CANNOT BE LEGALLY ignored!
Mitch and Barr are doing a pretty good job at stopping Congress as well. And, one must not forget that the trump with his poisonous rhetoric.. has built the ultimate virtual wall separating communiques.. families.. friends..political parties..
