Thanks for electing The Donald for the evangelicals, Mr Pope sir.

American evangelicals have long had a complicated relationship with Roman Catholicism, even in recent memory.

MacArthur said “In all honesty, [Catholicism] is not a group of wayward brothers but is an apostate form of Christianity. It is a false religion; it is another religion.” Those aren’t the only evangelicals who are leery of Catholicism: a 2000 Gallup poll found that 29% of people claiming to be “born again” or “evangelical” had an unfavorable view of Catholics — certainly not a majority but also not an easily dismissible percentage.

And you want to shove your fantasy ‘religion’ that no one agrees on, down everyone elses throat. Apparently only a minority actually live in reality.

Both those clerics should be holding their noses on this one—because American politics do stink from time-to-time.-And now that it is primary season, expect things to smell even worse.

That “holier than thou” on the right to win over the largest band of hypocrites is an interesting turn, one that ignores Article Six and the First Amendment. Amazing those same hypocrites are the ones falsely claiming they’re “patriots” and “originalists”. Francis runs a church with problems, but his statement on “Trump types” (not just Trump) was accurate for all Christians.

@Crow Nobo….the Western Catholic Church did many anti-biblical things, and contributed to the “Dark Ages” or the “Middle Ages” violations of human rights.-From the 400s AD onward the leaders cut ties to the Jewish people and condemned them, in spite of the Promises of God to regather the nation from all the earth where they had been scattered. This regathering began in the late 1900s AD.-The Church wrongly claimed all Israel’s Promises and claimed to be a “replacement” owner of the Promised Land, which God gave Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for all eternity.-Many unbiblical practices were adopted by the Church which persecuted believers who held strictly to the Bible for the doctrines of Faith that a Protestant Reformation was created, with many martyrs killed for translating and publishing Bibles and teaching against the errors of the RC Church.-But IMO the worst error was the deliberate uniting of Church and State under Constantine. Jesus never taught any sort of human theocracy on earth. Only Jesus is qualified to be Ruler of Earth in the millennial Kingdom that he will establish on His Second Coming to Israel and Mount Zion. At that time the Jewish nation will see Him and accept Him and mourn for the rejection of Jesus in the Crucifixion in the 30s AD. (described in the Old Testament’s book of Zechariah).-God gave Mankind the Bible (written by Holy Spirit inspiration and maintained and preserved by Jews, who after Jesus’ return to His home in Heaven, were the foundation members of the First Jerusalem Assembly, the Church, “Bride of Christ” that God opened to share the Faith with believing Gentiles. Many churches today are ignorant of Jewish history and Jewish worship that is the model of the coming Millennial worship in the coming Kingdom. That is because of the error of cutting all ties to Jewish Israel, that the Catholics are responsible for. Much false doctrine came from that root of error.-God wants believers to hold to scripture and to defend the Bible Faith. There is Truth and Falsehood and there is Right and Wrong in religion. Only the Bible gives God’s Plan.
