    My grandparents used to drive to a meat market to get buy their meat and the only processing was the cutting and slicing. My grandparents used to make their own sausage so that they knew what was in it. I believe that processing is the real problem.

    Generally, increased cancer risk from meat is linked to nitrites or grilling. It’s not THAT much of an increase unless you try to live on bologna and bacon sandwiches.

    Chick peas with barbecued ribs, yummy. Just a note, they keep drawing Holsteins in these ’toons, and eating “downer” old dairy cows IS a problem with prion disease and other bad things.
