A postive step, and just tell the Batista supporters to shut up. Heaven help us if we should actually improve freedoms in Cuba by ending our persecution of the Cuban people to get even with befuddled old Castro. And wow, allowing trade products to enter Cuba, along with freedom of travel for Americans to boost the Cuban economy and spread word of mouth a movement to improve the peoples’ lifestyles. (Hmm, even if they do have better health care per capita than in the U.S..)
The owner of the company I worked for in the 1990’s often had Cuban cigars! Despite the “No Smoking” laws in the workplace at the time, he never hesitated to light one up in his second-floor office, which we, on the first floor, could always smell!
Embargo schmargo. Companies and citizens can easily get around the US trade embargo against Cuba. US citizens just fly to an intermediate country such as Mexico and then make Cuban travel and accommodation arrangements there. Companies can get around the embargo through foreign subsidiaries.
