Hamas must know that firing rockets at Israel is only going to result in very minimal casualties because of the Iron Dome defense. The only explanation I can think of for their continued massive rocket attacks is to trigger Israeli counterattacks and thus prejudice world opinion against Israel. Israel is foolishly falling into this trap, while Hamas has a completely callous disregard for its own people. It must be remembered that Hamas does not want peace with Israel, but solely Israel’s complete and utter destruction.
Let’s not have a false equivalence between the fireman and the fire. If Palestinians were to renounce violence and seek their remedy solely by petition they could achieve peaceful coexistence between the peoples very quickly. If Israelis were to renounce the use of force and sought peace solely by petition they would be wiped out.
All of this could have been avoided if the “Palestinians” had accepted the land and national identity that was offered to them in 1948. The Israelis did this at that time, however the Arab nations that surrounded the new state decided that war was a better option. All of this could have been avoided. The Palestinians don’t want peace.
How long does one continue to be a refugee? They started counting in 1948, as soon as the State of Israel was formed. Most of us don’t remember that there was to be a majority-Arab state born at the same time. We call it “Jordan”.
It is astounding that the large number of Arab states surrounding Israel (most of them awash in petro-dollars) would allow “refugees” to remain that way for close to 60 years; it’s hard to believe they care any more than the Israelis do.
And you are correct: Arabs now (or will soon) outnumber Jews in Israel. If Israel wants to remain a Jewish state, it has no choice other than to provide land for the Arabs to settle. Minority rule is almost never pretty.

Many ISRAELIS confess that allowing a true Arab vote, let alone allowing those kicked out to return, would end the myth, if allowed, and ARAB Palestinians, Christians and Muslims, would bring down a theocracy.

I’m watching a story about this on ABC news (not Fox) and they show Palestinians celebrating rockets being fired towards Israel. The news shifts towards Israel’s Iron Drone (or dome?) which can shoot down most missles. They the camera shifts towards Israel who calls people in Palestine warning about a strike and then the Palestinians complains. Really? You expect the Jews to roll over and die? I don’t think your buddy Obama will convince the Jews, they went through that with Hitler and they won’t go through that again.
