Of course we will never get a straight answer about why our Ambassador and 3 other Americans were butchered in Benghazi. That’s the “Most open and transparent administration in history” for ya.

In 2002, Scott Ritter and William Rivers Pitt published “War on Iraq”, spelling out exactly the facts later proven that Saddam hadn’t any “WMDs”, since ’93, and the invasion propaganda was lies, but it went ahead anyway, due to more lies and “blackmail”, despite millions of protests around the world and here in the U.S..

In “Under Fire the Untold Story of the Attack in Benghazi”, Burton and Katz give an hour by hour review of the actual events that took place, even pointing out why NOT making public all that was known was SOP, and that relief that “conspiracy theorists” have invented, just didn’t exist. It also points out that Benghazi’s lack of full blown security measures is hardly a rarity at State Dept. posts around the world

Yeah, I know, what’s been published in books, verified, and tells folks what really goes on in the world isn’t as reliable as listening to Beck, Hannity and the leader of the dittoheads, or Faux News, or even liars exposed who’ve been on “60 Minutes”, but well…

There have been a dozen congressional investigations into Benghazi. The head of security resigned. There was no scandal found. None. It’s all generated by hatred from Fox News, that somehow, unlike all previous administrations, this administration is refusing to create scandals on its own.

benghazi happened because we relied on local security to protect our diplomatic compound. multiple times throughout the 20th century, our embassies were attacked. iran 1979. lebanon 1983. 1998 bombings in kenya and tanzania. state dept constantly requested congress for more funding for security. but, congress balks. plus, senator graham is basing his flawed theory on a lying security guard who was at his beachfront villa.

miikefive: actually, the book agrees with a lot of what was in the Pickering report. The facts are that our State Department “missions” are NOT “Embassies”, and the second site in Benghazi where the two mercs died was a CIA outpost. BTW, about the 32 people RESCUED that nobody wants to talk about? Uh, who did they work for, and maybe that’s part of why they aren’t “talking”. Ever hear of Valery Plame?

Either Republican or Democrat there is a disconnect between what people on the ground report as truth and what elected officials want to hear and believe.A rough time to be in the State Dept.
